This module will familiarise you with the fundamental cultural policy environment and framework from an international perspective. You will also learn about current media law, data protection and copyright requirements in both an analogue and digital (international) environment.

- Introduction to international organisations and cultural policies
- Key concepts of international cultural policy
- Principles of copyright and intellectual property
Course structure:
The module lasts 6 weeks and is divided into 3-4 phases. During each phase, you can decide when to prepare and review the content by working through the course material and tasks. There is usually one webinar in each phase, scheduled according to the students' time zones. These are the only fixed dates. Since the course is revised before it begins, the exact dates cannot be communicated beforehand. We calculate a weekly workload of 21 hours. Of course, this may vary depending on personal circumstances. The portfolio exam must be handed in at the end of the course.
