1.040,00 €
This module explores the environment and framework for the production of cultural goods. It provides an overview of current theories. You will also analyse the role of cultural organisations within their broad network in society, in politics and on the market.
Course content
- Sociology of the arts and Art Organisations: organisational theory and analysis
- Production of cultural goods, value chains and constraints
- Cultural Ecologies: preservation, citizenship and network connectivity
Course structure:
The module lasts 6 weeks and is divided into 3-4 phases. During each phase, you can decide when to prepare and review the content by working through the course material and tasks. There is usually one webinar in each phase, scheduled according to the students' time zones. These are the only fixed dates. Since the course is revised before it begins, the exact dates cannot be communicated beforehand. We calculate a weekly workload of 21 hours. Of course, this may vary depending on personal circumstances. The portfolio exam must be handed in at the end of the course.
