Im Zertifikatsstudium belegen Sie Module im Umfang von mindestens 15 Credit Points, Sie sind an der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg als Student*in eingeschrieben, können auf sämtliche Ressourcen der Hochschule zurückgreifen, legen Prüfungen ab und Sie erhalten als Abschluss das Hochschulzertifikat "PS Individuale".

Modulstudium

Das Modulstudium schließen Sie mit einer Prüfung ab und erhalten die angegeben Credit Points. Diese können Sie sich auf ein Bachelor- oder Masterstudium anrechnen lassen. Das Modulstudium ist interessant für Sie, wenn Sie nur ein einzelnes Modul buchen möchten. Zum Abschluss erhalten Sie eine Bescheinigung mit einer ausführlichen Aufstellung Ihrer erbrachten Leistungen.

Modulteilnahme

Die Modulteilnahme erfolgt OHNE Prüfung. Sie erhalten keine Credit Points. Credit Points sind dann wichtig, wenn Sie diese für ein Bachelor- oder Masterstudium anrechnen lassen wollen. Sie erhalten zum Abschluss des Moduls eine Teilnahmebescheinigung.

Modulinformationen "Business and Human Rights "

The implementation of human rights-based governance requires a strong understanding of social dynamics and norms as well as very good research skills. In Module 5, you will therefore get to know different approaches and techniques of problem solving so that you will be able to develop innovative and creative solutions to governance and human rights issues. Through this module, you will learn how to come up with sound decisions. Moreover, this module will help you to develop and enhance your communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifikationsziele

This course is based on a three level concept of competency:

  • You will develop the Knowing component of your communication and negotiation competency: you hear and read about concepts and discuss them.
  • You develop the Doing component of your communication and negotiation competency: you apply your knowledge in games and other exercises.
  • You start developing the Being component of your newly acquired knowledge and practical skills: Academic learning is most effective when it is sustainably transferred into the real life situations.
The objective of this course hence is to enable you to develop effective negotiation mindsets.


  • You will learn about global economic governance.
  • You will examine and reflect upon the potentials of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
  • You will learn which role companies can play in human rights protection and how developments in the area of human rights impact businesses.
  • You will get to know the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and actual initiatives for binding regulations in the field of business and human rights.
